My interest in race horses has developed over time. I began with a large racing partnership, Cyberspace Racing Team. I think large racing partnerships are a great way to start. They let you get a feel for racing while spreading the financial risk among many partners. It is an opportunity to get your feet wet and enjoy all the benefits and excitement of owning a race horse. I then started on my own by claiming a few horses at Turf Paradise. A year or so later, I bought my first horse at a yearling sale. This horse is the stakes winning mare, Silk N Diamonds. Silky is a super mare with loads of heart and drive. I then decided to buy a few mares and raise a few babies. I have enjoyed the race horses a great deal. Much of the credit goes to Sarina Obergfell, the one and only trainer my horses have known. She is great with the horses and takes excellent care of each one. Thanks to Sarina for all her time and effort training my horses and showing me the ropes of horse ownership. My biggest highlights have been winning my first stakes race with Silky and going to the 2004 and 2005 Kentucky Derby with my good friends.
